The mission of the Wellness Works! Program is to promote a culture of well-being that supports and encourages a more holistic way of living, that motivates our employees and their families to embrace a healthier lifestyle. Our goal is to: improve work performance, increase accountability, reduce absenteeism and decrease healthcare cost.

Five Dimensions of Well-Being
The Wellness Works! Program Health Awareness Calendar has been designed to target the five dimensions of Well-being:
1.Intellectual Well-being- engaging in creative, stimulation mental activities (academic and otherwise), striving for personal growth and willingness to seek out and use new information, making sound decisions and thinking critically, openness to new ideas; motivation to master new skills, a sense of creativity, and curiosity.
2.Financial Well-being-Is to learn how to successfully manage ones financial expense. Money plays a critical role in our lives and not having enough of it affects health. Financial Stress is repeatedly found to be common source of stress and anxiety in one’s life.
3.Physical Well-being- Healthy eating, sleeping, physical activity, avoiding or reducing drug and alcohol use, identifying symptoms of disease, getting regular medical checkups and protecting yourself from injuries and harm.
4. Emotional Well-being- Awareness and acceptance of one’s feelings and cognitions, coping with and expressing emotions in a heath and adaptive manner.
5. Environmental Well-being- Enjoying good health by occupying pleasant, stimulating environmental that supports well-being; trying to live with nature by understanding the impact of your actions on nature.
